TO PAY YOUR DUES by mail: Mail a check  made out to "The Conglomerate" to: Russ Gamble  P.O. Box 482  Los Gatos, CA 95031

TO PAY YOUR DUES by PayPal:  (Note: Only use PayPal if you just love the convenience OR if you need to charge your dues to a credit card... PayPal charges fees... if you can, just mail a check to the above address)     If you have an existing PayPal account, simply log on to PayPal and send funds to theglom<at>aol<.dot>com   Otherwise, setting up an account is easy.  Just click the link below and follow the instructions after you click on "send funds" which will guide you thru your account set-up process.  You dont need to create a "premier account".  You can have PayPal get funds directly from your bank account, your credit card, or your debit card.

HOW MUCH HAVE WE COLLECTED SO FAR?:  $8000.00  (our goal is $9000.00)

HOW MUCH HAVE WE SPENT SO FAR?:   $3500.00

We will also try to keep you all up to date here on our financial goals and our expenditures leading up to the Bman event.

Dues are very important to a kick-ass eplanade village like the Glom.  Paying at least the minimum suggested dues is vital.  The amount of the dues for 2004 has been set at $100.00.  This is an increase over last year because The Glom spent much more than is listed in the report below, last year, but these expenses were covered out of pocket by a few generous Glommers... and also, we are planning a bigger, better Glom this year and we may have fewer Glommers.

However, it is still the Glom policy that no GOOD GLOMMER be turned away because they have a true financial hardship.  There are two options; 1- You are always welcome to camp in the Subsidairy (formerly the Annex) which is not on the esplanade, but a few blocks behind the Glom, or 2- send an email to Dr. Painjoy (all emails and financial situations are confidential) pleading your case, and he will try to work out a deal for you.

HERE IS THE PRELIMINARY BUDGET FOR THE GLOM IN 2004:

Bar Expenses:
> Booze $1500.00
* 14 cases of booze
* 5 kegs of beer
* Misc. other booze
> Mixers and water 500.00
* Water (this may be free)
* Drink mixes
* Sugar
* Other misc. mixers and juice
> Other bar supplies 500.00
* Paper cups
* Paper towels
* Drink coolers
* Ice for kegs and some drinks
* Bar rags
* Spray cleaner
* Garbage cans
* Keg garbage can
* Trash bags
* Other misc. bar supplies

Administration Expenses:
> Name Badges 100.00
> Welcome Paks 50.00
> Mailings 50.00
> Office/Bman Supplies 100.00
* Copy paper
* Ink cartridges
* Ground marking paint
* Photocopying (probably free)
> Bank and PayPal fees 150.00

Infrastructure Expenses:
> Generator rental 800.00
> Generator fuel 300.00
> Power grid 300.00
> Taxi repairs, decor, fuel 400.00
*Mayor Joey can line-item this
> Flatbed semi truck rental 700.00
> Crane rental 700.00
> Construction materials 500.00
* Plywood and lumber
* Paints
* Fasteners
* Misc
> Lighting and tech effects 800.00
> Firewood 150.00
> Freezer (Free)

Slush Fund: 400.00

TOTAL: $8000.00

Divide this by 80 paying Glommers
and you get $100.00 per person.
I am estimating about 90-100 Glommers
this year, but of course there will be some
financial hardship cases and a few slackers.

BELOW IS THE FINACIAL BREAKDOWN FOR LAST YEAR...2003 - Big Thanks to Nurse Jessica!!!!

The dues last year were $50 and we had approximately 100 Glommers (roughly 85% of Glommers paid at least the minimum)

(as per treasurers report):  dues that actually were paid -  $4968.00
$150.00 covered negative balance from last year - $100 to reimburse nurse who covered negative balance (remaining $50 were nurse's dues)

$4868.00 to spend

$267.00 covered el wire bass parts
$  23.00  had to order more checks
$650.00 in refunds to cartel members who backed out in may
$100.00 for name badges - to keith
$1000.00 for power grid related stuff - to rocky
$300.00 went to painjoy for bar constuction
$800.00 to mayor joey for gennie rental, fuel, and semi truck

$   15.00 wire fee
$1015.00 to joel for booze
$600.00 went to nurse for  bar supplies
breakdown of the $600.00
       $450.00 went to bar supplies - all mixers, papertowels, garbage cans, etc
       $150.00 went with nurse to playa balance remaining after all said and done $335.00
withdrew in cash and combined with $150.00 and took to
playa for cash ($335+$150=$485.00)
received $120.00 in dues on the playa  ($485+$120=$605.00)
breakdown of $605.00
       $400.00 for ice for the week
       $300.00 for middle of the week booze run
       spent $700 on the playa

that equals -$95.00 over spending which nurse covered
okay so here is the breakdown of that
$4868.00 in dues to spend plus $120.00 received on the
playa = $4988.00
$267+$23+$650+$100+$1000+$1100+$15+$1015+$600+$335=$5105.00
which equals $117.00 difference which really means im
out of balance by $22.00 and im to tired to care why
i think its the bounced check fee from that $600 check
hugs held onto for so long the year before which overdrew the account to begin withS
